2025 Highest-Ranked in New Jersey for “Social Mobility”
Saint Peter’s University has continued its impressive climb in the annual U.S. News & World Report rankings of colleges and universities, being recognized as the leader in New Jersey among institutions in the Regional Universities North category for social mobility.
2025 Environmentally Responsible College
Saint Peter’s University was named one of the most environmentally responsible colleges in the country according to The Princeton Review. The University was included in The Princeton Review Guide to Green Colleges: 2025 Edition, which profiles 511 institutions that were selected for their “exceptional programs, policies and practices related to sustainability and the environment.”

Saint Peter’s University is proud to announce its recognition as the top-ranked university in New Jersey and 14th overall in the nation on Military Times’ 2024 Best for Vets: Colleges rankings. This annual ranking provides the largest and most comprehensive list of top colleges and universities that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to supporting military service members, veterans and their families.

Talk about companionship – we’ve grown with Jersey City, having called it home for 150+ years and being an anchor institution. It’s Jesuit values at work – caring for our community and being a positive influence with outreach like our Campus Kitchen, Clothing Closet, and other student organizations being involved in Jersey
City. Plus we’re creating innovative new programs that meet the needs of the region’s changing dynamics, addressing growth in industries like healthcare, business, and education. We’ve been here, celebrating Jersey City for its uniqueness and vibrancy.
