Peer Mentoring
Peer Mentoring Program
The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Peer Mentoring Program promotes student success and persistence toward graduation. It offers first-year TRIO SSS students, who participated in the TRIO SSS Pre-College Summer Bridge Program, an opportunity to navigate their college journey, overcome challenges, and reach important milestones—all while building meaningful relationships and connections.
TRIO SSS Peer Mentors, who are upperclassmen TRIO SSS students, will also benefit by expanding their networks and developing leadership and professional skills. Throughout the academic year, Peer Mentors will create and lead various workshops on topics related to Saint Peter’s University (SPU) student support resources, helping new students transition smoothly into college and supporting continuing students as they progress through their academic experience.
