William Brawner, founder and director of Haven Youth Center, Gives Keynote Address at HIV/AIDS Awareness Program

The Criminal Justice Department hosted its annual HIV/AIDS Awareness program on Wednesday, presented in collaboration with the Hudson County HIV/AIDS Prevention Planning Council. The keynote speaker was William Brawner, star of the documentary 25 to Life. For 25 years, Brawner kept his HIV positive status a secret; the documentary is about his journey as he informs people from his past of his status and apologizes to them. The day included HIV and STD testing, the keynote presentation and a showing of 25 to Life.
