ACADEMY OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SCIENCES
The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences is an international organization established in 1963 to foster professional and scholarly activities in the field of criminal justice. ACJS currently has a large number of active members that continue to meet the organization’s objectives of advancing the knowledge base in the fields of criminal justice education, research, and policy analysis. As change expands the existing boundaries of the criminal justice field, the Academy’s membership base is additionally diversifying.

ALPHA PHI SIGMA
Alpha Phi Sigma is the only National Criminal Justice Honor Society for Criminal Justice Majors. The society recognizes academic excellence of undergraduate, graduate students of criminal justice, as well as juris doctorate.

AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION – CRIMINAL JUSTICE SECTION

AMERICAN SOCIETY OF CRIMINOLOGY
The American Society of Criminology is an international organization concerned with criminology, embracing scholarly, scientific, and professional knowledge concerning the etiology, prevention, control, and treatment of crime and delinquency. This includes the measurement and detection of crime, legislation, the practice of criminal law, as well as a review of the law enforcement, judicial, and correctional systems.

BRITISH SOCIETY OF CRIMINOLOGY
The Society aims to further the interests and knowledge of both academic and professional people who engaged in any aspect of teaching, research or public education about crime, criminal behaviour and the criminal justice systems in the United Kingdom.

GANG RESISTANCE EDUCATION AND TRAINING (G.R.E.A.T.)
The G.R.E.A.T. Program is a school-based, law enforcement officer-instructed classroom curriculum. With prevention as its primary objective, the program is intended as an immunization against delinquency, youth violence, and gang membership.

IALEIA JOURNAL
The IALEIA Journal is a scholarly publication of the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts. IALEIA Journal strives to “bridge the gap” between academic research and the practical techniques employed by criminal research specialists worldwide.

INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CRIME ANALYSTS
An organization designed to enhance effectiveness and consistency in the fields of crime and intelligence analysis. The IACA is dedicated to advocacy for professional standards, providing practical educational opportunities, and the creation of an international network for the standardization of analytic techniques.

INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT INTELLIGENCE ANALYSTS
The purpose of IALEIA is to advance high standards of professionalism in law enforcement intelligence analysis at the Local, State / Provincial, National and International levels. Its aim is to enhance general understanding of the role of intelligence analysis, encourage the recognition of intelligence analysis as a professional endeavor, develop International qualification and competence standards, reinforce professional concepts, devise training standards and curricula, furnish advisory and related services on intelligence analysis matters, conduct analytic-related research studies, and provide the ability to disseminate information regarding analytical techniques and methods.

NEW JERSEY ASSOCIATION OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE EDUCATORS
The New Jersey Association of Criminal Justice Educators (NJACJE) has been reaching out to academicians in criminal justice and related fields in a effort to enhance the quality of undergraduate and graduate education in the discipline.  Membership in the NJACJE is open to full-time and part-time faculty, representatives of Criminal Justice agencies, and students.

NEW JERSEY ASSOCIATION OF FORENSIC SCIENTISTS
A forensic scientist is responsible for examining, analyzing, and identifying physical evidence that is recovered in connection with criminal activity. The NJAFS is a private, not-for-profit, professional association.

NEW JERSEY CRIME VICTIMS’ LAW CENTER
The New Jersey Crime Victims’ Law Center (VLC) provides pro bono legal assistance to victims of violent crime in the criminal justice system throughout the State of New Jersey.

NEW JERSEY GANG INVESTIGATORS ASSOCIATION
The NJGIA was established in 2006 by a group of law enforcement professionals who recognized the importance of having a gang based information sharing network narrowly but intensely focused on responding to the proliferation of street gangs in New Jersey. Like other states along the East Coast, a phenomenon also exists in New Jersey where well-established criminal street gangs hailing from the West Coast, Mid West, and South West have recently, and  increasingly joined the population of our existing gangs, bringing the potential of further criminal networking to a new and more threatening level.

NORTHEASTERN ASSOCIATION OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SCIENCES
The goals and objectives of this association shall be  to promote the communication and dissemination of information of interest among members, other associations of education, and agencies of the criminal justice system,  to develop an overall philosophy and standards of quality education in the administration of justice, to encourage both limited and long term planning and research in the criminal justice system, to establish a vehicle capable of providing technical assistance and evaluative services to agencies of the criminal justice system.    Membership shall be divided into the following categories:  regular members, student members, institutional members, life members, and honorary members.

WESTERN SOCIETY OF CRIMINOLOGY
The Western Society of Criminology (WSC) is a regional professional society devoted to the scientific study of crime. The society attracts criminology scholars, students, government officials and public and private practitioners from around the world. Through the annual meeting, WSC members discuss the latest criminological research, interact with prominent scholars, policy makers and legislators, examine new and forthcoming books, learn about employment opportunities, and a lot more.

Currently this site presents Sourcebook 2003, the 31st edition. The site is updated regularly as new statistics become available.
