Director at Deutsche Bank Visits Camps
Recently, the Department of Economics and Finance and the Economics and Finance Club invited Robert Martello as a featured guest speaker.
Martello is a director at Deutsche Bank and a member of the depositary receipts management team that oversees core delivery. Regarded as an innovator and a leader in the implementation of new strategies, his operations have been at the vanguard in advancing progressive management practices. Over 100 students attended the talk and asked questions during the second half of the event.
His presentation highlighted the major points for a successful career path in the financial industry, which he framed as his lessons learned. Some of these lessons included learning from a bad manager, being patient, knowing and promoting yourself, abiding by your managers’ priorities while being curious and challenging the status quo. Finally, he encouraged students to contact him for any coaching needed and offered his services for a mock interview.
