Student Activities & Opportunities

Shakespeare’s Italy Trip, Spring 2017
The English Department regularly organizes literary speaker events; outings to theatrical performances and poetry readings in New York City and New Jersey; academic conferences featuring the work of students, faculty, and literary professionals; and literary-themed study abroad courses.
The Pavan Art and Literary Magazine of Saint Peter’s, created each year by students and faculty from the English and Art Departments, promotes the ideals of literature by providing students with a recognized means of expression. We welcome submissions of original poetry and prose, as well as visual art, from students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Saint Peter’s University.
Sigma Tau Delta is the International English Honor Society. A member of the Association of College Honor Societies, it was founded in 1924 at Dakota Wesleyan University. There are over 750 Chapters located in Europe, the Caribbean, and the United States. Saint Peter’s University has had a Chapter of the Society since 1987.
