Women’s Studies Co-Sponsors Conference at University

On April 14, “Women Building Bridges: A Women’s Rights Coalition Meeting” was held at Saint Peter’s University to bring together different organizations and academic institutions that work to better the situation and position of women and to coordinate collective actions that have a major impact on the State of New Jersey and in national and international spheres. Thirty-one people from the women’s studies program at Saint Peter’s, women and gender studies program at Montclair State University, FOCUS, Action 21, Women United in Action, Women Rising, Hudson County Rape Crisis, Bergen County YWCA Rape Crisis, N.J. Chapter of National Association of U.N. Women, N.J. Citizen Action and a NJCU feminist organization attended the program.
