Post-graduate studies during COVID-19

It is no secret that higher education has been hit hard by the current COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing economic crisis. A recent article published by The Chronicle of High Education lists 25 universities which have suspended doctoral admissions for fall 2021, including programs of interest to our History majors, such as Rutgers University’s American Studies Program, NYU’s Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies Program, and the University of Pittsburgh’s Classics Program.

Despite the growing uncertainty of the economy and the situation in higher education, the Saint Peter’s University History Department is still dedicated to helping our students find internships, graduate programs, and entry-level careers to help them succeed after graduation. We will be sure to update our students whenever we hear of internship opportunities (both paid and volunteer) accepting students throughout the pandemic. Here students can find a current list of masters programs still accepting applications for spring 2021 and fall 2021. For more information on where to look for employment post-grad, students can visit our Facilities & Resources page. And, as always, students are welcome to contact the department or speak to their History professors in order to find guidance during these unprecedented times.
