Admission Requirements

BSN (entry level) Program

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program admission process offers new, first-year students the opportunity to apply through our one-year Pre-Nursing track. Through the regular admission process, students are able to apply for the Pre-Nursing track. At the conclusion of the first year of study at Saint Peter’s, students’ academic progress is evaluated. Students are not required to submit a second application but will be expected to maintain satisfactory academic progress with a cumulative gpa of B or better. Students must successfully achieve a score of Advanced Proficient on the TEAS indicating a high level of overall academic preparedness necessary to support learning of nursing-related content.

Admission to the Pre-Nursing track is selective. Candidates for the BSN program not offered a seat in the Pre-Nursing track will not be able to transfer internally later.

RN to BSN Program

  • Copy of RN license and malpractice insurance.

*Provisional admission decision can be may based on unofficial copies of transcripts, but official versions must be received in order to be fully admitted to the program

RN to BSN Program: Online Program

Application Requirements:

Accelerated BSN Program

Application Requirements:

  • Official application (Apply online or request an application by phone or mail.)
  • Official transcripts* from all prior nursing schools/colleges/universities attended

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college
  • 3.0 GPA
  • B or greater on pre-requisite science courses
    • Biology
    • Human Anatomy & Physiology I with lab
    • Human Anatomy & Physiology II with lab
    • Microbiology with lab
  • Satisfactory results on the TEAS Exam (78% or higher)
  • C+ or greater on all other prerequisite courses
    • One of the following:
      • Psychology  – Introduction to Psychology or
      • Sociology – Principles of Sociology
  • Admissions deposit and application.
