Student Receives Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Social Justice Award from Saint Peter’s
Each January, during its Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. commemoration and workshop, the Public Policy Program and the Social Justice Program recognizes its Saint Peter’s University Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Urban Social Justice Award winner. This year’s recipient is CAS/SBA undergraduate Ondrelique Ouellette ’16 who, in the picture, is holding the award plaque and is standing next to Ishea Neal ’17, a public policy student. Oulette, a social justice minor, gave a presentation at the workshop on how the life, writings and actions of Dr. King inspires her social justice work and helped to frame her efforts to help organize a recent Black Lives Matter march from campus and down to the Jersey City waterfront.
