Students Participate in Eastern Sociological Society Annual Meeting
Saint Peter’s students and faculty recently participated in the 2016 Annual Meeting of the Eastern Sociological Society.
The first panel included: Naeem Queen, Shennell “Coca” Garner, Diego Rueda and Tia Flowers with faculty advisor David Surrey. This group presented, “Beyond Dick and Jane: Recognizing the Many Others in the Curriculum and on Campus.”
Students Yeimy Fuentes, Selena Guzman and Maia “Cami” Santacruz” and faculty advisor Mary Kate Natuus presented, “Students as Change Agents in Social Entrepreneurship Studies.”
“Struggling Together as Well as Apart,” was presented by students Mehak Ahmed with faculty advisor Donal Malone.
“Our Language is the Immigrant: First Generation Students as Interpreter for their Faculty, their Parents and Themselves,” was presented by Wendy Pesantes and Michelle Perez with faculty advisor David Surrey.
“The Uneven Trajectories of Undocumented Young Adults,” was presented by Joseph DeLorenzo, Christian Ugaz and Anyelina Alvarado with faculty advisor Alex Trillo.
