Academic Support Services

The STEM Engagement & Empowerment Center provides academic support services for all STEM students. 

Peer Tutoring

All peer tutors who are hired have a minimum of a 3.4 cumulative GPA and at least 45 credits. Each student has at least a B in the subjects in which they tutor. To make an appointment, please download the Navigate student app.

Loaner Programs

Eligibility for the STEM Center Loaner Program are as follows:

  • Students must be registered for undergraduate classes for the semester in which they intend to borrow the loaner(s).
  • Students will be required to return the loaner(s) at the end of the semester during the week of final exams to the STEM Center staff only.
  • The loaners are on a first-come first-serve basis, and priority will be given to Pell-eligible students. 
    • Textbooks: Apply here to borrow currently stocked books in the STEM Center on a semester basis.
    • Laptops: Apply here to borrow a laptop on a semester basis.
    • Graphing Calculators: Apply here to borrow a calculator on either a daily or semester long basis.
    • Chemistry Modeling Kits: Apply here to borrow a chemistry modeling kit on a semester basis.
