Stanley J. Mierzwa

Dr. Stanley J. Mierzwa is an accomplished cybersecurity expert, educator, and industry leader. Currently serving as the Director of the Center for Cybersecurity at Kean University, Dr. Mierzwa’s research interests span cybersecurity risk management, policy, global public health, and law enforcement technologies. With a Ph.D. in Information Technology from the University of the Cumberlands, he holds certifications including CISSP, CCSP, and Associate CISO from EC-Council.

Dr. Mierzwa has earned recognition through numerous awards, including the NSA’s Center of Academic Excellence Award and EdScoop 50 University Technology Leader of the Year. His professional background spans academia, private sector IT leadership, and cybersecurity roles with global impact. He has significant international experience, working across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Europe.
