United Nations Programs
Since 2004, Saint Peter’s University proudly maintains NGO status at the United Nations through the UN’s Department of Public Information (DPI). In conjunction with associated NGO’s, DPI seeks to reach the world at large in order to help people better understand the aims and work of the United Nations. The DPI/NGO holds Weekly Briefings on topics relevant to the United Nations and associated NGOs. The Briefings consist of video screenings and panel discussions that are available via webcasts for classroom use and presentations to the Saint Peter’s University community. Additionally, faculty and students may attend live briefings at the UN. Additionally, each year the Guarini Institute at Saint Peter’s University hosts the High School Model UN (SPUHSMUN) and the Harvard Model UN programs.
