COLLEEN KELLY WILL SPEAK AT SAINT PETER‚S ABOUT HER LOSS ON 9/11
September 10, 2002– Colleen Kelly, a Bronx resident and mother of three, will speak at Saint Peter‚s College on Thursday, September 12 at 11 a.m. in the Roy Irving Theater on the College’s Jersey City campus. Kelly, after losing her brother William in the World Trade Center attack last September 11, formed the September 11th Families for a Peaceful Tomorrow organization with other victims’ family members.
Kelly will speak about the organization and its quest for world peace even in the face of such terrible events. Kelly is a nurse practioner who co-founded the Ita Ford Health Clinic that offers free medical service to the poor in Harlem. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton and followed with a practitioner’s degree from Columbia University.
