Best Men’s Soccer Season In School History Continues

SAINT PETER’S ADVANCES WITH 4-1 WIN OVER NIAGARA; SEMIFINALS NEXT The Saint Peter’s men’s soccer team advanced to the semifinals in the 2003 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference men’s soccer championship tournament earlier this afternoon with a 4-1 win over Niagara. It was the first MAAC post-season win in school history and upped the team’s record to 15-4-2. The 15 wins are the most in school history. The Peacocks are now two wins away from earning the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Saint Peter’s, the third seed, now meets 10th-seeded Rider on Saturday. The Broncs upset second-seeded Fairfield on Wednesday. The winner of the Saint Peter’s-Rider game will play in Sunday’s Noon championship game.
