Bernice Wilbur Alexander To Receive Honorary Degree

Bernice Wilbur Alexander, R.N. will receive an Honorary Degree from Saint Peter’s College on Thursday, August 18, at noon, at the Hackensack Country Club in Oradell.Alexander, who served under Dwight D. Eisenhower as a Lt. Colonel in the United States Army Nurse Corps during World War II, was unable to attend Commencement ceremonies on May 23 because of illness. College President James N. Loughran, S. J. will confer the Honorary Degree on Alexander, who also served as a delegate-at-large to the United Nations.
