Thomas D. Carver, SPC Class of 1958, Appointed New Jersey Labor Commissioner

Jersey City, NJ (December 07, 2004) –Acting Governor Richard J. Codey recently appointed Thomas D. Carver, Esq. ’58 as New Jersey’s Labor and Workforce Development Commissioner. Carver has served on the Saint Peter’s College Board of Regents since 1986 and as the chair of the College’s Annual Business Symposium since 2002. Carver is a managing partner of The Castle Group, LLC, a government affairs firm specializing in transportation issues. He is also a former President of the Casino Association of New Jersey, the founder of The Carver Group (a consulting firm with expertise in equal opportunity employment and minority entrepreneurship), and has served with The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for 22 years.
