Clark Is First SPC Player to Earn Prestigious Haggerty Award

Jersey City (April 21, 2005) The National Invitation Tournament and the Met Basketball Writers Association named junior guard Keydren Clark of Saint Peter’s College as this year’s winner of the 72 nd Haggerty Award. The award honors the All-Met Division I player of the year. Clark, a Business Management major at Saint Peter’s, became the eighth player to repeat as Division I national scoring champion, posting a 25.8 ppg average. He is the first Saint Peter’s player to receive the prestigious Haggerty Award. Clark was also named as an All-Met first team selection for the third consecutive year. Through three seasons, Clark has 2,218 points. He has 330 career 3-point baskets, 83 shy of the all-time Division I national career record.
