Parul Monga participated in the Summer Institute for Pre-Legal Studies program at Seton Hall University this summer.

Saint Peter’s College Junior Parul Monga of Jersey City participated in the Summer Institute for Pre-Legal Studies program at Seton Hall University this summerThe intensive, five-week residential program enabledstudents to study several facets of law. 

 
“This program provided me with insight into the entire law school experience and some of the key concepts and cases in major areas,” said Monga.  The Economics major expects to pursue law school upon graduation in 2008.
 
Twenty-one students from over ten different colleges participated in the highly competitive program.  Monga enrolled in classes such as Legal Writing, Legal Methods & Analysis, Legal Principles, Legal Language Skills, and Oral Advocacy taught by practicing lawyers.  She earned the Best Brief – Respondent Award.  
 
Monga is President of the Indian Pakistani Culture Club (Indo-Pak) at Saint Peter’s College and an editor for the College’s literary magazine, The Pavan.  She is also a member of the Honors Program and Gannon Debating Society.  
 
Saint Peter’s College is the Jesuit College of New Jersey. Founded in 1872, Saint Peter’s has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The main campus is located in Jersey City. The College has a branch campus for adults in Englewood Cliffs and also offers courses at various corporate sites at the Jersey City waterfront and in South Amboy.
