Jersey City – The Department of Fine Arts at Saint Peter’s College will host an opening reception on Thursday, November 30 from noon – 2 p.m. for the annual student art exhibition and concert. The exhibit will run through the end of January and can be viewed in the display case gallery on the second floor of the Rankin Arts Center near the intersection of Montgomery Street and West Side Avenue.

“This annual show provides a forum for our students to demonstrate their broad range of talents in painting, music, graphics and other areas,” said Beatrice Mady, an associate professor in the Fine Arts Department and Graphic Arts Coordinator of the exhibit. “Students used various computer programs, media and photography to create these original works.”
A concert featuring vocal and instrumental performances will occur during the first hour of the opening. The exhibit is free and open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saint Peter’s College is the Jesuit College of New Jersey. Founded in 1872, Saint Peter’s has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The main campus is located in Jersey City. The College has a branch campus for adults in Englewood Cliffs and also offers courses at various corporate sites at the Jersey City waterfront and in South Amboy.
