SPC to Host Second Annual College Goal Sunday on January 28

Jersey City – Saint Peter’s College will serve as a host site for the second annual College Goal Sunday on Sunday, January 28 from 1-4 p.m. in McIntyre Lounge in Dinneen Hall. College Goal Sunday takes place at eight sites throughout New Jersey. The program provides assistance to low-income or first-generation college bound students in understanding the financial aid process and filling out various forms.

Financial aid officers will be on hand at each site to assist families and students and to answer any questions. One $500 scholarship will be awarded at each site, including at Saint Peter’s College, at the conclusion of the day.

College Goal Sunday attracted more than 400 families at five sites last year. The event is funded by a grant from the Lumina Foundation. It is sponsored by the New Jersey Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NJASFAA) and New Jersey’s Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA).   To register and for more information on College Goal Sunday, visit www.njcollegegoalsunday.org.
