The Summer Scholars classes meet from July 7 thru August 7 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am until noon. The classes will be conducted on a colloquium model: A one-day general meeting each Monday where students will listen to lectures and performances covering a broad range of disciplines will be followed by two days of individual class meetings. Summer Scholars may choose from a diverse set of courses, including Civilization and Disease, Bearing Witness to War and Genocide through History and Literature, Shakespeare: from the Page to the Stage, and Psychology and Literature.

Scholars are selected based on a variety of criteria including high school grade point average, class rank, standardized test scores, involvement in extracurricular and community activities, letter(s) of recommendation and an essay.
