Jersey City, N.J. – April 3, 2014 – Saint Peter’s University announced plans to honor members of the University community at Hearts & Minds: The Saint Peter’s University Scholarship Celebration on May 2, 2014 at the Mac Mahon Student Center. Aileen Grace P. Arriola, M.D. ’07, will be presented with the Rising Star Award; Robert A. Cutro ’75, will be presented with the Professional Achievement Award; and Charles J. Vickers ’47, will be presented with the Loyalty to Alma Mater Award. Hearts & Minds celebrates integrity, leadership and service to others. Proceeds from this annual event support the University’s General Scholarship Fund.
Arriola currently serves as a resident in pathology for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She previously served as a research assistant in the pediatrics department for the Robert Wood Johnson AIDS Program. Cutro retired as an executive floor official member of New York Stock Exchange Euronext Inc. and NYSE floor broker for Barclays Capital Inc. He also serves as a member of the Saint Peter’s University Board of Trustees. Vickers established the Vickers Organic Chemistry Lab and The Charles J. Vickers ’47 and Anne B. Vickers Tissue Culture Facility at Saint Peter’s University. He is also a generous supporter of the Mac Mahon Student Center.

Cornacchia, Ph.D., president of Saint Peter’s University. “The Hearts & Minds annual scholarship celebration enables us to not only thank the people who have done so much for the University, but to make it possible for new students to continue Saint Peter’s legacy.”
