Jersey City, N.J. – January 30, 2018 – Saint Peter’s University today announced plans to honor members of the University community at Hearts & Minds: The Saint Peter’s University Scholarship Celebration on May 4 at the Mac Mahon Student Center. Warren C. Fristensky ’74, Julie Delaney Fristensky ’73 and Robert J. Goldstein ’60, M.B.A. ’06 will be presented with the Loyalty to Alma Mater Award. Elnardo J. Webster, Ed.D. ’69 will be presented with the Service to Community Award. Hearts & Minds celebrates integrity, leadership and service to others. Proceeds from this annual event support the University’s General Scholarship Fund. This year’s theme is “Monte Carlo Night” and the evening will feature dining and gaming complete with a silent auction to benefit the deserving students of Saint Peter’s University.
“This annual event provides us with the opportunity to not only celebrate the successes of our alumni, but it provides us with the chance to support the dreams and aspirations of our students as well,” said Eugene J. Cornacchia, Ph.D., president of Saint Peter’s University. “Congratulations to all of our honorees who have accomplished so much professionally while maintaining an unwavering commitment to alma mater.”
Warren Fristensky ’74 retired as CIO and senior vice-president at John Wiley & Sons and serves as regent emeritus at Saint Peter’s where he was once chair of the Board of Regents. Julie Delaney Fristensky ’73 had successful careers in teaching and banking. She served on the Board of Trustees for The Institute of Music for Children in Elizabeth, N.J. and the Alumni Board at Saint Peter’s. Julie stays engaged with alma mater through performing for Arts on Bergen; Warren and Julie organize Glee Club reunions and concerts with the Chorale.
Goldstein is a consultant for his insurance company, R J Goldstein & Associates, Inc., an employees benefits brokerage/consulting firm. During his tenure, he was selected to participate on Producer Advisory Councils and was the recipient of several production awards from numerous insurance companies. He graduated from Saint Peter’s with a B.S. in mathematics in 1960 and returned to earn his M.B.A. in 2006. He supports and fundraises for both his high school and college alma maters. He has served on numerous boards and councils, including the Board of Regents, Board of Trustees and Executive Committee at Saint Peter’s.
Dr. Webster is the director for the Center for After School and Expanded Learning at Saint Peter’s University, whose mission is to promote after school programs and expanded learning opportunities for students in the surrounding community. Dr. Webster also provides technical assistance in the development and implementation of after school programs for various local organizations. He is a retired superintendent for Roselle public schools and has served on Saint Peter’s Board of Trustees. He played professional basketball and is a member of various Athletic Hall of Fames, including Hudson County, Saint Peter’s University, Naismith College Basketball and Newark.
