Jersey City, N.J. – January 26, 2021 – Saint Peter’s University today announced the launch of its Gateway Tuition Program, a zero tuition promise (tuition, comprehensive fees and new student orientation fee) for New Jersey residents that meet qualifying criteria. Through a financial aid application (FAFSA) review, the University will identify students’ eligibility for the program, which will begin with new first-year students as well as new transfer students enrolling for the fall 2021 semester.
“At Saint Peter’s University, we are committed to providing students with an exceptional and affordable college experience,” said Elizabeth Sullivan, vice president for enrollment management and marketing at Saint Peter’s University. “Through the Gateway Tuition Program, we are focusing on alleviating the financial burdens our neediest New Jersey families experience in planning for college. By maximizing the use of institutional, state and federal scholarships and grants we are committing to building a bridge for students to college.”
New Jersey residents who are Pell Grant eligible, have filed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (including completing the verification process) and who are enrolled full-time in one of the University’s undergraduate bachelor’s degree programs may benefit from this $0 tuition, comprehensive fees and new student orientation fees opportunity. Some qualifying criteria may include those living in households with an income of $65,000 or less as well as an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) that is below $5,846. The University will perform a holistic review to determine eligibility.
