Dr. Jack Hampton appointed as KPMG professor and director of graduate business programs at Saint Peter’s College

Jersey City – Saint Peter’s College appointed Dr. Jack Hampton as the KPMG Professor of Business and Director of Graduate Business Programs. Prior to joining Saint Peter’s College, Hampton served as the executive director of the Risk and Insurance Management Society. “Jack’s broad-based experience in the private, public and educational sectors will benefit our graduate students pursuing business degrees in the areas of both curriculum development and instruction,” said Saint Peter’s College Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Eugene Cornacchia. A principal in the Princeton Consulting Group since 1981, Hampton has shared his expertise in risk management and strategic management with clients in the United States, Europe and the Pacific Rim.

He has authored several books included the AMA Management Handbook, Financial Management of Insurance Companies and Working Capital Management. In the academic environment, Hampton served as the dean of the school of business at Seton Hall University and Connecticut State University. He was the provost of the College of Insurance and the State University of New York-Maritime College. Hampton earned his undergraduate degree from Stetson University and his master’s and doctorate degree from George Washington University. Hampton resides in Litchfield, CT. The KPMG Professorship is an endowed faculty chair funded by the KPMG Foundation in Montvale, NJ. The KPMG Foundation aims to incorporate significant teaching, research, and consulting experience into students’ classroom experiences. Hampton will teach courses in strategic planning, international business, finance, risk management and conduct research in enterprise risk management.

Saint Peter’s College is the Jesuit College of New Jersey. Founded in 1872, Saint Peter’s has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The main campus is located in Jersey City . The College has a branch campus for adults in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and also offers courses at various corporate sites at the Jersey City waterfront and in South Amboy, NJ.
