“The Arts of Asia” Exhibit Features Numerous Items from the Continent

Jersey City, NJ (April 12, 2005) “The Arts of Asia,” an exhibit featuring more than 160 objects from countries such as China, Japan, Tibet, India, Cambodia and Sri Lanka, begins with an opening reception at the Saint Peter’s College Art Gallery in the O’Toole Library on April 13 th from 6 to 8 p.m. The collection contains a variety of museum-quality items such as tapestries, Japanese screens, watercolors, and sculptures of iron, ceramic, porcelain and ivory. The objects range from second century B.C. to modern times. The exhibit will run from April 14 to May 4. The Art Gallery’s hours are Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, please call (201) 915-9238. Fr.
