Twenty Saint Peter’s College Students Inducted Into Criminal Justice Honor Society

 

20 SAINT PETER’S COLLEGE STUDENTS INDUCTED INTO CRIMINAL JUSTICE HONOR SOCIETY

March 31, 2003– Jersey City, NJ–Twenty Saint Peter’s College students were recently inducted into the Saint Peter’s College Delta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma—the National Honor Society in Criminal Justice. The induction ceremony and luncheon were held as part of the College’s third annual Stephen D. Doyle Criminal Justice Symposium
 
Established in 1942, Alpha Phi Sigma is a recognized member of the Association of College Honor Societies. The Delta Alpha Chapter at Saint Peter’s College was chartered in March 2002. 
 
To be eligible for membership, students must be criminal justice majors or minors, have completed at least one-third of their degree requirements and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 overall, with a 3.2 GPA in their criminal justice courses. Students must also be ranked within the top 35 percent of their class, and have successfully completed at least four criminal justice courses.

The Honorable Fred J. Theemling, Superior Court Judge for the State of New Jersey and Ritchie A. Martinez, President of the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts, were also presented with honorary membership.
 
Saint Peter’s College is the Jesuit College of New Jersey. Founded in 1872, Saint Peter’s has an enrollment of more than 3,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The main campus is located in Jersey City and a branch campus, specializing in adult education, is located in Englewood Cliffs.
