Jersey City- Frederick D. Barton of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) will deliver the second address of the spring 2007 semester in the Guarini Center for Governmental Affairs Lecture Series on Wednesday, April 18 at 11 a.m. in the McIntyre Room in Dinneen Hall.

Barton, a senior adviser in the International Security Program and co-director of the Post-Conflict Reconstruction Project, is an expert on the Iraq Study Group. He is a frequent writer on a broad range of public issues. For the past five years, Barton was a visiting lecturer at the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University as the Frederick H. Schultz Professor of Economic Policy. A graduate of Harvard College, Barton earned his M.B.A. from Boston University, with an emphasis on public management, and received an honorary doctorate of humane letters from Wheaton College of Massachusetts.
Established in 1994 by former New Jersey Congressman Frank Guarini, the Guarini Center aims to provide a non-partisan forum for discussion and analysis of key public policy issues and to encourage careers in public service among today’s students.
Saint Peter’s College is the Jesuit College of New Jersey. Founded in 1872, Saint Peter’s has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs.
