Jersey City — Senator and Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama will hold a rally at Saint Peter’s College Wednesday, January 9 at the Yanitelli Recreational Life Center.
“Sen. Obama is the latest in a long series of historic figures to choose to speak at St. Peter’s College,” said Dr. Eugene J. Cornacchia, President, Saint Peter’s College. “We welcome him as we would welcome any presidential candidate who wishes to discuss and debate the ideas and events that are shaping our history.”
Saint Peter’s College is the Jesuit College of New Jersey. Founded in 1872, Saint Peter’s has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The main campus is located in Jersey City. The College has a branch campus in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and also offers courses at various corporate sites at the Jersey City waterfront and in South Amboy.
