MAAC 2008 Women’s Soccer All-Academic Team Announced

Edison, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has announced that three juniors from the Saint Peter’s College women’s soccer team have been selected for the 2008 MAAC Women’s Soccer All-Academic Team.

Christine DeMedici, Katelyn Matousek, and Bertha Munoz were among the 85 student-athletes selected for this year’s team. In order to be considered, a student-athlete must have completed at least two semesters at her institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Christine DeMedici is a midfielder from Point Pleasant, N.J., majoring in elementary education. Katelyn Matousek is a midfielder from Ravena, N.Y., majoring in criminal justice. Bertha Munoz is a forward from Jersey City, N.J. and is majoring in economics.

With 10 institutions strongly bound by the sound principles of quality and integrity in academics and excellence in athletics, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference is in its 28th year of competition during the 2008-2009 academic year.  For a complete list of the 2008 Women’s Soccer All-Academic Team, visit the MAAC website.
