Kevin Cummings, president and chief executive officer of Investors Bank, will present “Stimulated Growth through Business Leadership and Community Involvement,” at the next Saint Peter’s Business Network event on March 15 at the Gallery at Liberty Prime in Jersey City, NJ. The event is the second of the academic year for the newly revamped Saint Peter’s Business Network, formerly known as Alumni in Finance.
The Saint Peter’s Business Network intends to unite Saint Peter’s University graduates and friends from all fields of business and provides an opportunity for individuals to participate, learn, exchange ideas and explore new professional relationships while connecting and engaging with the University.
Last month’s event at the Down Town Association in Manhattan’s financial district sold out and the upcoming event promises to be just as engaging.
In addition, Cummings is sure to offer valuable business advice. He is referred to as a Power Banker and has a prolific career. He was appointed president and chief executive officer of Investors Bank in January 2008 when he also became a member of the board.
Under his leadership, the Bank’s performance has been recognized on Forbes’ “Best Banks in America” list since 2012. In addition, Cummings received the 2011 NJ Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year® Award for transforming the Bank into a growth company.
His presentation will focus on his career as a customer and community oriented banker. He has formulated a company culture that is inclusive and he backs an “open door” structure where employees are informed of company happenings.
“It is moving from success to significance that allows a bank to create a purpose and a legacy that has a lasting impact on its employees, customers and the communities it serves,” said Cummings.
This event is complimentary, but a gift to The Saint Peter Fund is strongly encouraged. To register for the event, click here. For more information, please contact the Office of Alumni Engagement at (201) 761-6122 or alumni@saintpeters.edu.
