Jersey City, N.J. – April 3, 2019 – Saint Peter’s University today announced that Yvette Noel-Schure, co-founder and executive vice president of Schure Media Group and longtime publicist for Beyoncé, will address the Class of 2019 at the 128th commencement exercises for the University on Monday, May 20. Noel-Schure will also receive an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters, honoris causa.
Noel-Schure, a self-made entrepreneur and highly-regarded music publicist, has represented iconic music clients such as Beyoncé, John Legend, Leann Rimes, Chloe x Halle, Prince and Mariah Carey, among others. She has more than two decades of experience in the music industry, first as a journalist and then as a music publicist. She joined Columbia Records in 1993 where she worked in numerous roles including department head for media in which she handled press for every music genre. In 2010, she opened her own publicity and event-planning agency and signed her first client – Beyoncé. She has developed press campaigns for a diverse roster of artists and handled media launches for albums such as Maxwell’s “BLACKsummers’night” and Beyoncé’s “I AM…SASHA FIERCE,” and all the singer’s global tours.
Beyond her illustrious career in the music industry, Noel-Schure has maintained a passion for others, which she has folded into Schure Media Group. She has led successful social campaigns including World Humanitarian Day 2012 and 2013 with the United Nations and CHIME FOR CHANGE, founded by Gucci, to promote education, health and justice for women and girls everywhere. Additionally, as an immigrant from the Caribbean island of Grenada, Noel-Schure frequently gives back to her home country and throughout the West Indies. She was recently named a tourism ambassador for Grenada.

The commencement ceremony for Saint Peter’s University will be held at the PNC Bank Arts Center at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 20.
