Thank you to everyone who supported the second annual Peacock Nation Day on Sunday, February 27 – a day in which our student-athletes were celebrated by loyal and generous Peacock Nation supporters.
We are thrilled to announce that we received a total of $70,946 from 171 gifts in support of Saint Peter’s athletic programs-a new Peacock Nation Day record that more than doubles the amount raised during last year’s inaugural campaign! None of this could be done without you.
“On behalf of Saint Peter’s University Athletics, I’d like to express a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who contributed during Peacock Nation Day 2022,” added Director of Athletics Rachelle Paul. “We are so incredibly inspired by and appreciative of the participation, commitment, and generous support given to our student-athletes. The fact that we were able to more than double the amount raised from last year’s inaugural campaign is a testament to all of Peacock Nation and the unified goal of providing the best possible experience for our student-athletes.”
A special thank you to Tom Mac Mahon ’68, Sharon Pastore ’73 and Christie Shea ’00 for their generous match challenges! We are grateful that these three former Peacock student-athletes have remained committed to Saint Peter’s Athletics. Their leadership and generosity helped inspire the greater Peacock Nation to rise to the occasion for our student-athletes.
Congratulations to the Saint Peter’s Peacocks Baseball team as they won the Athletic Director’s Challenge! The Baseball team raised the highest total amount of $12,698 and will receive an additional bonus of $2,500!
